About
Hi, my name is Billy York. I love to create and build. Ever since I was a kid I sought out ways to design and construct, from Legos to music, model planes and photography.
I wish I had a cool story about how I started woodworking. It’s pretty simple. I started when I paid someone to epoxy top a beautiful piece of Mesquite wood for a desk. He did a terrible job. I found waves, burn marks and cracks in the epoxy. I said, I can do that better, and off I went. I have always loved and appreciated woods individual, unique allure. Trees create such natural beauty, what better way to show off natures elegance than by creating attractive, functional art that will last lifetimes.
I am a small one man shop, other than the occasional times my wife or kids will pitch in. Every piece is crafted by me from start to finish. However, this also means that certain pieces will take longer, as I do not mass produce anything, or keep a large inventory. With this in mind, every piece will be created individually for you, which also allows customization and personalization!

About My Products
Materials
I love to work with premium hardwoods. Domestic and exotic, like Walnut, Mahogany, Pecan, Mesquite, Padauk, Bubinga, Canary wood and more. Live edge or dimensioned, these woods have such unique figuring, colors or both. With few exceptions, I don’t use plywood or MDF in final products.
Boards and Tables
Looking for something truly unique for your kitchen, dining room, office or entryway? Look no further. My cutting boards, charcuterie boards, lazy susans, desks and tables are one of a kind conversation pieces.
All of my boards are finished with 100% pure Tung oil or Odies Oil, which is all natural. I prefer these finishes over Mineral oil as they cure inside the wood, providing a long lasting finish. Mineral oil never cures, or dries. Each time you wash your board a little bit of it runs out. With no maintenance, eventually the wood is left dull and faded.
Lazy susans can be finished two ways: 1) Epoxy, giving it an extremely durable and heat resistant finish, 2) Tung oil or Oodies oil, like my cutting boards and charcuterie boards.
Desks and tables can be finished with a variety of products. I typically consult with you on the kind of finish, sheen, and on how the final product will be used to determine what kind of finish would be best suited to your needs.
A note about products with an epoxy river. These products will generally have a 3+ week longer lead time, as the epoxy in the river takes time to cure, before the next steps in the process can begin.
